Welcome
Dear People of St. Dunstan’s,
We are blessed with a beautiful place to meet in worship and fellowship—a sacred space that invites us in as companions in word, sacrament, and ministry. We honor the generosity of past generations who built our church, cared for it, and handed it down to us, so that we, too, could gather here to worshipand serve God.
We also are blessed with a lively, growing parish family here at St. Dunstan’s. This growth brings new energy and ideas into the life of our spiritual community. At the same time, this growth has increased our awareness of ways in which our church buildings and grounds limit our common life and ministries.
Two years of shared discernment have led us to undertake a capital campaign to address those constraints, guided by core values we have named together, including openness and welcome, mutual nourishment, creativity, and care for Creation and our neighbors. We begin this fundraising campaign with the goal of better aligning our church property and resources with those values.
We named this campaign the Open Door Project because it will allow us to make our church buildings more accessible, comfortable, and usable—and because we want to open the door to new possibilities for our life together as a household of faith, as we renew our spiritual home.
These renovations will help meet the needs of members and guests, current and future, and enable us to more fully respond to Christ’s call for our parish to be a place of welcome, solace, nurture, and call. Please join us in committing to the future of God’s mission here at St. Dunstan’s.
Yours in hope and gratitude,
Celia Fine and John Laedlein
